Error vector (EV)

The error vector is the difference between the measurement signal vector (Meas vec-
tor) and the reference signal vector (Ref vector).
Error Vector Magnitude (EVM)

The magnitude of the error vector in the diagram is specified as the error vector magni-
tude (EVM). It is commonly normalized to the mean reference power. The EVM should
not be confused with the magnitude error, see below.
Magnitude Error
The magnitude error is defined as the difference between the measurement vector
magnitude and the reference vector magnitude (see
