3.4.1 Trace Mode Overview

The traces can be activated individually for a measurement or frozen after completion
of a measurement. Traces that are not activated are hidden. Each time the trace mode
is changed, the selected trace memory is cleared.

The R&S

FSVA/FSV provides the following different trace modes:

Clear Write

Overwrite mode: the trace is overwritten by each sweep. This is the default setting.

Remote command:

DISP:TRAC:MODE WRIT

, see

DISPlay[:WINDow<n>]:TRACe<t>:MODE

Max Hold

The maximum value is determined over several sweeps and displayed. The
R&S

FSVA/FSV saves the sweep result in the trace memory only if the new value is

greater than the previous one.
