MEID Support

Indicates the support of Mobile Equipment Identifier by MS (see

Remote command:

ESN

The hard-coded Electronic Serial Number of the connected MS is shown in hexadeci-
mal format.

Remote command:

MEID

Mobile Equipment Identifier, a 56-bit number (14-digit hexadecimal) which allows for a
larger number of mobile stations to be identified than in the existing ESN numbering
system.

Remote command:

Max EIRP

Queries the information from the MS about the Maximum Effective Isotropic Radiated
Power (EIRP).

Remote command:

MS IPv4 Address, IPv6 Prefix

Display the IPv4 address and/or the IPv6 prefix that have been assigned to the MS by
the R&S

CMW. The MS indicates whether it supports IPv4 only or IPv6 only or both.

Depending on this information the R&S

CMW assigns either an IPv4 address or an

IPv6 prefix or both and displays the assigned values.

MS Capabilities

To display the most important MS capabilities, select "MS Capabilities" in the field
below the connection status area.

The radio access capabilities of an MS are received from the MS during registration.
The radio access capabilities are described in 3GPP2 C.S0005.

To enable/disable MS capabilities reporting, use the checkbox. Toggle "MS Capabili-
ties" OFF to speed up registration and to ensure that frame error rate measurements
are not affected by the messaging necessary to retrieve the MS capabilities.
