8.2 Cable label specifications
The cable label is the identification of different cables. Sticking label to each cable can
guarantee that the cable laying is accurate and orderly, and at the same time facilitate the
subsequent maintenance and inspection on cables.
The cable label can be divided into two types in accordance with different use occasions:
Signal cable label: used to stick network cable, fiber, trunk cable, user cable, etc.
Power cable label: used to stick DC power cable and AC power cable.
8.2.1 Overview of label
Raisecom provides the following cable labels, as shown in Figure 8-6.

The label material has the following characteristics:
The label thickness is 0.09mm.
The label color is chalk white.
The material is polyester (PET).
Operating temperature range: -29°C to 149°C.
Be compatible laser printer and oily pen handwriting.
The material quality has passed UL and CSA authentication.
8.2.2 Label filling
There are two methods to fill the label content: one is to fill by hands with oil pen, the other is
to print. This manual only describes the method of hand-written label.
Hand-written label specifications are as follows:
To ensure the font clear, aesthetic, and long lasting, you must use black oil pen to write
labels instead of the ordinary black ball-point pen, which may leave ball-point pen oil on
the label and result in dirty and illegible handwriting.
