3.3.3 Installing chassis on workbench
We do not recommend installing the ISCOM6820-GP device on the workbench,
which may cause unexpected events (such as collision and heavy objects falling) and
affect the normal use of the device or even damage the equipment. We recommend
installing the device in a standard cabinet or an open rack.
If you wish to install the ISCOM6820-GP device on a workbench, ensure the workbench meet
the following conditions:
The usable area of the workbench is larger than the bottom area of the device, which is
442 mm (width) × 236 mm (depth).
The load-bearing capacity of workbench is greater than 80 kg/m
2
.
The surface of workbench should be smooth.
The materials of the workbench should meet the anti-static requirements, best made of
wood and there is ground terminal or dedicated anti-static mat on the workbench.
The workbench must be steady.
After selecting the appropriate workbench, place it steadily in the equipment room according
to the following requirements:
The environment around the workbench is clean and tidy.
There is at least 30 cm space around the workbench to facilitate device maintenance and
heat dissipation.
The workbench location is convenient for the introduction of device power and
interconnection with other devices.
The workbench location is convenient for ground connection.
There should be no water pipes or other easily falling objects above the workbench.
Install the chassis on the workbench according to the following steps.
Step 1
Place the chassis upside down. Clean the bottom of the chassis with a dry soft cloth to ensure
that there is no greasy dirt or dust attached, as shown in Figure 3-6.
