fields. Do not use with medical implants. Never wrap the welding wires around the body. Pass the
welding wires together.
1.4.19 Protection against rays and burns Indicate the danger to the eyes with the help of the sign
“Warning! Don’t look into the flames! ”Placed in the workplace. The workplace must be isolated in
such a way that people nearby are protected. Unauthorized persons must stay away from the place
of welding. The walls in the immediate vicinity of permanent workplaces must not be painted in light
colors or with glossy coatings. Windows must be protected from the passage or reflection of rays at
least to the level of the head, e.g. by appropriate coating.
1.4.20. Classification of the EMC device
According to IEC 60974-10, this is a class A plasma cutting machine with electromagnetic
compatibility, which means that it meets the relevant requirements for work in industrial and domestic
conditions. The appliance can be connected to the public low voltage power supply network in
residential areas. Even if they comply with the emission limit values according to this standard, plasma
cutting machines can cause electromagnetic interference in sensitive systems and devices. The user
is responsible for the disturbances that occur during electric arc welding and the user must take
appropriate protective measures. In doing so, the user must pay particular attention to the following:
network wires, control wires, signal and telecommunication computers and other microprocessor-
controlled devices, televisions, radios and other transmitting devices electrical and electronic safety
devices persons with pacemakers or hearing aids measuring devices and calibration of how resistant
other devices are to damage in the vicinity of which part of the day the welding work is performed.
To reduce possible radiation, it is recommended: to regularly service the plasma cutting machine,
the welding wires must be fully stretched and, if possible, run parallel to the floor. welding area or be
shielded.
1.4.21. General explanations on the use of plasma
Plasma cutting devices operate by injecting gas, e.g. air, through a narrow tube. In the middle of
this tube is a negatively charged electrode just above the nozzle. The vortex ring causes the plasma
to circulate as fast as it allows. When you supply current to the negative electrode and touch the
nozzle blade to metal, a closed electrical circuit is created. Then a powerful spark occurs between
the electrode and the metal. Passing through the tube, the incoming gas is heated by the spark until
it reaches a plasma state. This reaction generates a stream of directed plasma with a temperature of
16,649 ºC or more, which moves at a speed of 6,096 m / sec and converts the metal into steam and
molten particles. The plasma itself is electrically conductive. The operating cycle that creates the arc
continues as long as electricity flows to the electrode and as long as the plasma is in contact with the
workpiece. The cutting nozzle has a second type of grooves. These channels generate a constant
flow of shielding gas around the cutting area. The pressure of this gas flow controls the radius of the
plasma beam.
1. Environment
1) The machine should be operated in dry environments with humidity levels of max 90%.
2) Ambient temperature should be between -10 to 40 degrees centigrade.
3) Avoid welding in sunshine or drippings. Do not let water infiter the machine.
4) Avoid welding in dust area or the environment with corrosive gas.
5) Avoid gas welding in the environment with strong airflow.
2. Safety norms
The welding machine is installed with protection circuit of over voltage, over current and over heat.
When voltage, output current and temperature of machine exceed the required standard, welding
machine will stop working automatically. However, overuse (such as over voltage) will still result in
damage to the welding machine. To avoid this, the user must pay attention to the following.
1) The working area is adequately ventilated!
The welding machine is powerful machine, when it is being operated, it generated by high currents,
and natural wind will not satisfy machine cool demands. So there is a fan in inner-machine to cool
down machine. Make sure the intake is not in block or covered, it is 0.3 meter from welding machine
to objects of environment. User should make sure the working area is adequately ventilated. It is
important for the performance and the longevity of the machine.
