select one of the following options:
<New ingredient> - select to add a new product, first enter name, next specify mass to be
weighed during formulation making process. The software automatically adds the products
to the products database.
CAUTION! In order to enter remaining product data it is necessary to go to product database.
<New ingredient from database> - select to view a list of database stored products,
choose the product you need for your mixture, the software weighs as much
product/ingredient as specified by product database mass parameter. Mass value can be
edited and modified for each added product. The introduced modifications do not affect
mass value saved to the database.
•
Number of ingredients: non-editable parameter updated by the software on adding an
ingredient to a formulation.
•
Sum: target mass of a formulation, i.e. sum of all formulation ingredients, non-editable
parameter updated by the software on adding an ingredient to a formulation.
22.4. USING FORMULATIONS IN WEIGHING
With FORMULATIONS function activated, you can prepare mixture either manually or by selecting
formulation out of database.
Mixture preparation options:
•
formulation that is not saved to the Formulation Database – i.e. “manually”,
•
formulation that is saved to the Formulation Database,
•
formulation that is saved to the Formulation Database – using multiplier function.
•
formulation that is saved to the Formulation Database – determining target mass of complete
formulation
CAUTION!
In order to use the above options it is necessary to add respective quick access keys to the bottom bar and set
formulations mode parameters.
Select a particular formulation, weigh each of its ingredients. Wait for the indication to stabilize next
press < > button, with this weight of each ingredient is tared, i.e. it is accepted for the total mass
of the formulation.
Press < > button to cancel the formulation making process. Now you can prepare a different
formulation.
PROCEDURE 1 – preparing formulation that is not saved to the Formulation Database – i.e.
“manually”.
Following the prompts:
1. Press < Formulation using out of database ingredients> button to be found on bottom bar.
2. Name the formulation.
3. You are prompted to select ingredients for a formulation.
4. Select the first ingredient (new or from database of products).
5. Home screen is displayed.
6. Load the weighing pan with a container for a weighed product, wait for a stable measurement
indication and carry out taring operation.
7. Press < > button for confirmation.
8. You are prompted to select remaining ingredients for a formulation.
9. Weigh all required ingredients, take the same set of actions like in case of the first formulation
ingredient.
