Your Radio Shack TAD-222 Touch
Tone Remote Control Telephone An-
swering System is a high-quality sys-
tem. The remote control feature lets
you use most of your answering ma-
chine’s functions from almost any
touch-tone phone. Your TAD-222 is
easy to operate and ideal for use in
either your home or office.
The TAD’s features include:
Digitally Recorded Outgoing Mes-
sage (OGM)
—
records your mes-
sage on a computer chip for clear
quality sound.
Remote Control Operation
—
lets
you operate the TAD from a remote
touch-tone phone or from a pulse
phone using a pocket tone dialer (not
supplied).
Toll Saver
—
lets you set the TAD
to answer after two rings only if there
are new messages. This saves un-
necessary toll charges when you call
by long-distance to check your mes-
sages.
Remote Answer-On
—
lets you
use a remote phone to set the TAD to
answer calls.
Call Screening
—
lets you listen as
a caller leaves a message so you can
decide whether or not to answer the
call.
Memo Recording
—
lets you leave
reminders for yourself or messages
for others in your home or office.
VOX (Voice-Operated Transmis-
sion)
—
stops recording after sever-
al seconds of silence to conserve
tape space.
Message Indicator
—
shows how
many messages and memos are re-
corded on the tape.
Single Microcassette
—
records
incoming messages and serves as a
backup for the outgoing message in
case of a power failure.
This TAD has been tested and found
to comply with all applicable UL and
FCC standards.
