Basic Operation

Turning on the Scanner

Press and hold

G

. The scanner turns on and a welcome

message appears for about 2 seconds. Press and hold again to turn
off.

Selecting a Race Series

1.

Turn the

SEL/VOL

dial on top of the scanner to select one of the

following preset race types:

•

NASCAR SprintCu

(Sprint Cup)

•

NASCARnationwid

(NationWide Series)

•

NASCAR Truck

•

ARCA

(ARCA RE/MAX Series)

•

Grand Am

•

IRL (Indy)

(Indy Racing League)

appears briefly to remind you that your

car number/channel data may not be up to date.

Listening to Race Transmissions

After you select a race series, there are several options for listening
at the race.

Note

: Series names, car numbers, and drivers are subject to

change without notice. Check that you have up-to-date information
before you go to the race.

Browsing All Car Numbers

Turn the

SEL/VOL

dial to scroll through car numbers and driver

names. If there are no transmissions, keep scrolling.
