USING THE ON/OFF
TIMER
You can set the system to automati-
cally turn on, play or record from the
tuner or a CD, then turn off.
Setting the Timer
1. While the system is off, press
SEARCH/SCAN
on the sys-
tem or on the remote.
ON
appears and the hour digits flash
on the display.
2. Set the start time by following
Steps 2–4 in “Setting the Clock”
on Page 11.
3. Press
ENTER.
OFF
appears and
the hour digits flash on the
display.
4. Set the end time by following
Steps 2–4 in “Setting the Clock”
on Page 11.
5. Press
ENTER

desired band appears.

. The memory
location flashes and the sta-
tion appears.

the remote control) to select
the desired memory location.
e. Press
ENTER
. The timer is
set.
Note: When setting the timer with
TUNER
selected, you can only select
stations stored in memory (see “Stor-
ing Stations in Memory” on Page 15).
