Note: If your phone system requires that you dial an access
code (9, for example) before you dial an outside number, do
not dial the access code either.
If the dial tone stops, you have touch-tone service. If the dial
tone continues, you have pulse service.

SETTING THE RINGER ON/OFF
To turn off the ET-156’s ringer, set
RINGER
to
OFF
. You can still make
calls with the ringer off, and you can
answer calls if another phone on the
same line rings.
To turn the ringer on, set
RINGER
to
ON
.
