one electrical appliance (e.g. lighting) within a DuoFern radio network.
Many of the functions provided by the DuoFern transmitter (e.g.
HomePilot® or DuoFern manual central operating unit) can thereby

Proper use
Only use the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug for connecting and controlling
electrical appliances (e.g. lighting etc.) up to the stated total power level
(Technical Specifications).
Operating conditions

Only operate the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug in dry rooms.
◆
Only use with 230 V / 50 Hz mains sockets.
◆
The installation and operation of the DuoFern radio system and its
components (e.g. DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug) is only permitted for
those systems and devices where a malfunction in the transmitter or
receiver would not cause a danger to personnel or property or where
this risk is already covered by other safety equipment.
3. Improper use
Never use the DuoFern radio system and its components (e.g. DuoFern Switch
Adapter Plug) for the remote control of devices and systems with height-
ened safety-relevant requirements or where there is a heightened risk of
accidents. This shall require additional safety equipment. Observe the respective
statutory regulations for the installation of such systems.
IMPORTANT
Do not install the DuoFern Switch Adapter plug outside.
The use of defective equipment can lead to personal
injury and damage to property (electric shocks, short
circuiting).
Never use defective or damaged equipment. Please contact
our Customer Service department in this event .
Incorrect use leads to an increased risk of injury by
electric shocks or short circuiting.
Children are not permitted to play with the DuoFern Switch
Adapter Plug.
Danger from fatal electric shock
DuoFern adapter plugs are never fully de-energised. Even
when the DuoFern adapter plug is switched off, the plugged
in electrical appliance is not completely (galvanically) discon-
nected from the mains power supply.
Pull the unit from the socket or DuoFern adapter plug before
undertaking all work on the electrical appliance.

You must assign
every
required DuoFern transmitter to the DuoFern Switch
Adapter Plug in order that the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug can be controlled with
a DuoFern transmitter. You can assign a maximum of 20 DuoFern transmitters
(e.g. HomePilot®; DuoFern
manual transmitter standard etc.).

Switch the desired DuoFern transmitter to registering mode (please
refer to the corresponding operating instructions).
Registering mode remains active for 60 seconds.

(logout)" on the bottom of the DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug.

The DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug then transmits either a log-on or
log-off signal.
- The status LED flashes green during login.
- The status LED flashes red during logout.

If registration is successful, the status LED will light up constantly green
for approx. 20 seconds.

Log the next DuoFern transmitter on / off. In order to do so, repeat steps

3.
NOTE
The status LED lights up red if the registration process fails, for example
if:
- 20 DuoFern transmitters have already been registered.
- An unsuitable device (e.g. other DuoFern actuator) is registered.
- An attempt was made to log-off a DuoFern transmitter that is not
logged-on.

The DuoFern Switch Adapter Plug has two switching modes (unit and light
mode) with which you can control electrical appliances.
You can switch between the two switching modes using the relevant DuoF-
ern transmitter (e.g. HomePilot® etc.). To do so, please read the operating
instructions for the respective DuoFern transmitter.
