Routing
Static routing is the term used to refer to a manual method that is used to set up routing between networks.
Static routing has the advantage of being predictable and simple to set up.
This section lists the routing table and lets the user add and delete routes.
Parameter
Description

To enter network route select “Net”.
To enter a route to a host select “Host”.
Destination
the destination network or host. You can provide IP addresses in dotted decimal
or host/network names.
Mask
The network's IP address together with its address mask defines a range of IP
addresses. For IP subnets, the address mask is referred to as the subnet mask.
For host routes, the mask is "all ones" (in dotted decimal 255.255.255.255).
Gateway
Next hop (gateway); the next router which knows how to reach the destination
Interface

Displays whether a particular route is active or not.
