5. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Before any maintenance operation on the material turn off the engine with the STOP button and withdraw
the spark plug cap.
When cleaning, do not use detergents, solvents or objects being able to stripe.
a. After each use
- Clean the body of the tool by using a soft cloth.
- Clean all the air intake and moving parts with a brush. Use protective gloves during this operation.
- Check all parts of the tool (cleanliness, wear, damage, etc.). If you notice damage, wear, or malfunction,
do not use the tool and bring it to a qualified service for inspection and reparation.
- Regularly oil the blade. Use only biodegradable oils.
b. Spark plug
- Control and clean periodically the electrodes of the spark plug, especially after long periods of
non-utilization.
- The correct adjustment between the two electrodes is of 0.6/0.7 mm.
- During the reassembly tighten the spark plug with the torque of 12/15 Nm.
- Put back in place the spark plug cap.
c. Adjustment of the carburettor
The carburettor of the engine was adjusted in factory. When it’s necessary, bring the tool to a qualified service
agent to perform this operation.
d. Repairs
Repairs and annual maintenance shall be provided by a service agent. The user must no bring repairs by itself.
The spare parts must be recommended by us. Do not uses spare parts than can affect the health and safety of
the operators. Contact us for more advice.
e. Storage
Empty the tank completely as soon as the mixture is oldest than thirty days or make function the engine until
exhaustion of the fuel. In this second case empty the gasoline residues located at the bottom of the tank.
Let cool the engine and dismount the spark plug.
Store the hedge trimmer in a dry place. Put the blade cover on the blade when transport and storage in order
avoid accidents and injuries.
The tool must be stored out of the reach of children.
f. Information about the cutting of the hedges
The persistent hedges must be cut if possible in April and/or in August.
The hedges with always green sheets must be cut in June and in October
Conifers as well as the shrubs with rapid growth must be cut every six weeks as from May
