IEEE 488.2 Command Reference
7.11 *SRE
<
NRf
>
The
*SRE
command sets the Service Request Enable register bits. This register contains a mask value
for the bits to be enabled in the Status Byte Register. A
1
in the enable register enables the corresponding
bit in the Status Register, a
0
disables the corresponding bit in the Status Register. The parameter value
when expressed in base 2, represents bits 0 to 5 and bit 7 of the Service Request Enable Register. Bit 6
is not used and is always
0
. Table 4.13 shows the contents of this register.

Query
*SRE?
This query returns the contents of bits 0 to 5 and bit 7 of the Service Request Enable Register.
Bit 6 is always 0.
Error Message
If the parameter is not in the recognized format, error
-102, "Syntax error"
occurs.
If the parameter is less than 0 or greater than 255, error
