QM1004-8-12-100 Combined RF Upconverter/Downconverter

User Manual

2.2 FREQuency:LO1:EXTernal [1

This command allows the user to select between the internal LO1 local oscillators and externally supplied
ones for both channels. Issuing this command overrides the back panel toggle switch settings for both
channels.

When

is specified, the internal LO1 local oscillators are used by the Combined RF Upconverter/Down-

converter.
When

is specified, the external LO1 inputs are used by the Combined RF Upconverter/Downconverter.

This command selects the internal LO1 oscillators

Default Condition

On power up, or when a

*RST

command is issued, the QM1004-8-12-100 returns to the boot state’s

setting. The Combined RF Upconverter/Downconverter default setting is 0.

Query

:FREQ:LO1:EXT?

This query returns a 0 or 1 to indicate the selected Combined RF Upconverter/-
Downconverter oscillator source.

0 is returned if the internal LO1 oscillators are selected

∙

1 is returned if the external LO1s are selected

Error Message

If the parameter is not in the recognized format, error

-102, "Syntax error"

occurs.

If the parameter is not 1 or 0, error

-222, "Data out of range"

occurs.
