Safety notes for lithium batteries
EMERGENCY INSTRUCTIONS
•
In the event of the content materials of the lithium batteries coming
into contact with the eyes or skin, rinse thoroughly with water for at
least 15 minutes. A doctor must always be contacted.
•
In the event of inhalation of gases or fumes always seek medical
attention.
•
Treat burns accordingly and immediately obtain medical attention.
•
In case of smoke or gas emission leave the affected area immediately.
If possible, vent the area thoroughly and try not to put yourself at risk -
hold your breath to avoid fume and gas inhalation.
•
If ingested, give plenty of water and rinse mouth. Seek medical advice
immediately.
Fire fighting
•
In the event of a fire, put your own safety first and leave the danger
area.
•
In the event of a fire or quenching a fire involving Li-Ion batteries, toxic
and flammable gases and toxic fluids may develop or may be released.
•
In the event of fire call the fire brigade.
•
Batteries can explode in a fire.
•
Suitable extinguishing agents are:
- Extinguishing powder (fire class D for metal fires);
- dry sand or - if only a single battery is on fire - large quantities of water
•
Unsuitable extinguishing agents are:
- Carbon dioxide;
- Small quantities of water can have an oxidising effect

Correct disposal of this product
European directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE)
In countries of the European Union outside Germany.
Information concerning correct waste disposal is available from your
dealer or from the responsible sales and distribution channels.
