Node – Hard-Drive Activity and
Status Indicators
MDC Node - Rear View
The back of each StorNext M330 MDC Node has a series of indicators,
connectors, and buttons. Unlabeled indicators, connectors, and buttons
are reserved for Quantum Service.
Figure 4 shows the rear indicators, connectors, and buttons of the
system.
Drive-Status Indicator Pattern
(RAID Only) Condition
Blinks green two times per second Identify drive/preparing for removal.
Off Drive ready for insertion or removal.
Note: When system power is applied, the drive status
indicator remains off until all hard drives are
initialized. Drives are not ready for insertion or
removal during this time.
Blinks green, amber, and off Predicted drive failure.
Blinks amber four times per second Drive failed
Blinks green slowly Drive rebuilding
Steady green Drive online
