Installing the DXi6902 System in the Rack

DXi6902

Cabling the DXi6902

Follow these steps to cable the DXi6902:

Connect each Array module (RBOD) to the DXi6902 Node using the provided 2m

mini-SAS HD to mini-SAS cables (see

Figure 22

Note:

Mini-SAS plugs are rectangular

. Mini-SAS HD plugs are square

Caution:

The Mini-SAS HD plugs can be plugged in upside down. The cable will

appear to be inserted but is not. Verify the cable is seated by pulling

lightly on the cable. Verify the SAS link light is ON after powering on

the RBOD.

Connect port

RBOD1

(slot 5) on the Node to SAS port Ch 1 (Controller A) on

RBOD 1.

Connect port

RBOD1

(slot 6) on the Node to SAS port Ch 1 (Controller B) on

RBOD 1.

Connect port

RBOD2

(slot 5) on the Node to SAS port Ch 1 (Controller A) on

RBOD 2.

Connect port

RBOD2

(slot 6) on the Node to SAS port Ch 1 (Controller B) on

RBOD 2.
