Before you can begin using the DXi6700 for backups, you must configure the system.
To configure the DXi for VTL (virtual tape library), see the following sections:
• Installed System Licenses on page 29
See this section for information about installed system licenses.
• Default VTL Partition on page 30
See this section for information about the default VTL partition on the DXi6700.
• Configuring Host Access on page 31
See this section to configure the default partition for backups.
Installed System Licenses
The following licenses are either installed by default on the system or available through
an included license certificate:
• NAS License
DXi6700 node bezel
