To shut down the DXi4000, you must use the remote management
console (see Reboot & Shutdown on page 247). Shutting down the
system can take up to 15 minutes.
Locating Serial Numbers
You will need the system serial number at various times:
• System Serial Number - You need this number to contact Quantum
Support or to add a licensed feature.
You can locate the system serial number on the Home page of the
remote management console.
You can also locate the system serial number by looking at the front and
rear of the server node. The top of the EST tab on the front of the unit
includes the serial number (labeled as Service Tag), and so does a sticker
on the rear of the unit. An example system serial number is 1A2B3C4.
