P-Scope Quick Start Guide – Rev. AP5 

 

P/N 68-00214 

 

Connecting to the P-Scope:   

1.  Connect the HDMI to HDMI cable provided from your HDMI source device under test to the topmost HDMI 

connector on the back of the P-Scope. 

Note:

 The P-Scope is provisioned with a default EDID with a large set of timings. 

2.  Power up the P-Scope. You will need to switch the power rocker switch the back to the ON position and then 

press the power on button on the front panel. 

 

Connecting your host PC to the P-Scope 

In order to run the P-Scope application you will need to connect to the P-Scope from your host PC. The default IP 
address of the P-Scope is 192.168.0.1. You can configure the IP address at a later time. Use the procedures 
below to connect to the P-Scope from your host PC. 

Connecting to the P-Scope:   

1.  Download the zip file containing the P-Scope application from the products page of the Quantum Data web 

site: 

www.quantumdata.com/products/pscope.asp

2.  Connect the Ethernet cross over cable provided with the P-Scope to the Ethernet jack on the back of the 

P-Scope and then to your Host PC. 

Note:

 You can connect to the P-Scope over your corporate network, but you will first have to connect using a 

direct connection with the crossover cable provided because currently there is no way convenient way to 
change the IP address except through the P-Scope application.
