Introduction
The Quanser QNET Physics and Dynamics for NI ELVIS II, pictured in Figure 1.1, is a versatile physics and dynamics
system designed to teach and demonstrate the basic physical and dynamical principles in a variety of ways. The
system is comprised of a catapult with adjustable release angle equipped with an rotational encoder as well as a
sliding mass arm with an adjustable incline. The sliding mass experiments are carried out with a multi-surfaced sliding
mass that is connected with a wire over a pulley equipped with an encoder to manually adjustable counterweights.
Furthermore, the sliding mass arm can be used for pulley experiment as well as a oscillation experiment.
Main QNET Physics and Dynamics features:
• Compact physics and dynamics system for NI ELVIS II
• Encoder mounted to catapult arm with manually adjustable release angle
• Electronic release of catapult arm
• Encoder mounted to the end of an adjustable sliding mass arm
• Electronic release of sliding mass
• Sliding mass cube with 4 different surfaces
• Spring for mass-spring-damper experiment
• Two 100 g weights
• Two 50 g weights
• Return pulley attachment
• Two different lengths rods for multiple setups of oscillation experiment
• Built-in PCI connector for NI ELVIS II
