4. Connect to a mains supply outlet.
5. Turn the Temperature control dial (I) in clockwise direction to maximum setting.
6. Pilot light (G) glows, indicating the iron is switched on.
7. Pilot light goes off when the required temperature is reached.
8. Wait for one more cycle; Pilot light glows and goes off.
9. Turn the Temperature control dial (I) in anti-clockwise direction to
'Min
'.
10. Disconnect the iron from mains supply outlet.
11. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
12. Push and hold the Self clean button (J).
13. Steam and boiling hot water will drain from the holes of the soleplate washing away the scales
and minerals that have built up inside the Steam chamber.
14. Gently move the iron back and forth until the water tank is empty.
15. When Self-Cleaning is complete, release the Steam control turning knob (C).
16. Rest your steam iron back on its heel rest and allow to fully cool down.
17. Wipe the soleplate (K) with a cold damp cloth.
Caution
:
Keep skin/body away from the hot water.
Anti-drip feature
When the temperature of your iron is insufficient to create steam, the supply of water is cut off auto-
matically to avoid any drips from the soleplate.
Anti-scale filter
Your iron is fitted with a permanent anti-scale filter. This filter is fixed and cannot be removed for
cleaning. The filter is designed to reduce the build-up of limescale inside your iron. Limescale occurs
during steam ironing due to water hardness. Water hardness varies from one area to another. The
effectiveness of the filter will depend on how ‘hard’ your water is.
