Bump Stops Installation:
Put on Safety Glasses. Start with the
spare tire fully installed on the tire
carrier measure the length needed for
the Bump Stop to meet the spare
tire. [FIG 1]
Remove the rear camera cover using a
T30 Torx bit, and remove the spare tire
using a 21mm socket. [FIG 2]

BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION, THE VEHICLE MUST BE PARKED ON A
HARD AND LEVEL SURFACE, WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK (6TH GEAR
FOR A MANUAL TRANSMISSION), THE PARKING/EMERGENCY BRAKE ON AND THE EINGINE OFF.
Remove both factory bump stops from
the tailgate by pulling on them. They
will not be reused.
Put on protective gloves. Cut the Bump
Stop groove to the proper length -
use the measurement from [FIG 1],
cut at the next groove beyond the
measured distance. This will allow the
tire to compress the Bump Stop when
mounted. [FIG 3]
While holding the Bump Stop
against a work bench, use a Hack saw
to cut. [FIG 4]
