Soft poly-ether foam and other soft foams are not suitable because they do not absorb energy.
Foam peanuts are not suitable on its own. But it can be used to fill voids between other
material.
Self forming polyurethane foam is suitable for carton box and flight cases. But the material
can wear.
Expanded poly-styrene foam is suitable for carton and flight cases, but it will wear off quickly
in flight cases. Extruded poly-styrene foam however is too hard, and too elastic, for equipment
purposes.
Closed cell polythene foams are suitable for flight cases and for carton box shipment. The
material is available in various colours and cell sizes.
Bubble foil is suitable for single or limited cycle use in combination with carton boxes.
