INFORMATION:
Authentication Protocol:
MD5:
The MD5 algorithm is a widely used hash function producing a
128-bit hash value. It can still be used as a checksum to verify data
integrity, but only against unintentional corruption.
SHA:
SHA (Secure Hash Algorithm) is a cryptographic hash function
which is a mathematical operation run on digital data; by comparing
the computed "hash" (the output from execution of the algorithm) to a
known and expected hash value, a person can determine the data's
integrity.
Privacy Protocol:
DES:
The DES (Data Encryption Standard) is a symmetric-key
algorithm for the encryption of electronic data.
