INACTIVITY AND LAYING UP
The following chapter describes the
precautions to be taken in the event of
a long period of inactivity of your QV3,
aiming to keep it in good working order,
as well as ensuring it retains its original
appearance. SCOOTER INACTIVITY AND LAYING UP
If the scooter will not be used for a long
period of time, we recommend you pro-
ceed with any required maintenance and
observe the following precautions:
•
check the fl uid levels and replace
them if necessary;
•
check the coolant system is full of
50% antifreeze solution;
•
engage the parking brake;
•
completely fi ll the tank with fuel
mixed with a quantity of stabiliser,
as specifi ed by the manufacturer of
the stabiliser;
•
remove the battery (see the “Emer-
gency” chapter);
•
infl ate the tyres to the pressure list-
ed in the “Technical Data” chapter;
If it is necessary to protect the
mechanical parts with special sub-
stances (e.g. antirust products) con-
tact an authorised Quadro Vehicles
dealership.
•
clean the scooter (see paragraph
on “Cleaning” in the “Maintenance”
chapter);
•
park the scooter on a solid, stable
surface, in doors where it is not ex-
posed to direct sunlight or damp;
•
cover the scooter with a transparent
sheet.
