a. Open the paper exit unit. (See “Installing the Cleaning Pad and

Oil Bottle” in chapter 2 if you are not sure how to do this.)

b. Remove the jammed media by pulling it straight out from above

the transfer unit (fig. 9.8).

Close the transfer unit, and then the back cover.

Close the paper exit unit.

When the control panel message window displays

IDLE

printer is ready to print.
