I
Ensure that the workbench is dry, clean, vibration-proof, and has additional space for accessories.
I
Open the box from the top and remove the rotor, user manual, and power cord(s) from the foam
packing material on top of the QIAcube.
I
Remove the foam packing material and cardboard and place the QIAcube onto the bench.
I
Remove the USB stick, rotor key, rotor nut, Allen key, S2 shaker adapter, and shaker rack plugs
from the waste drawer.
I
Carefully peel off the protective film from the QIAcube door.
Removing the protector for the X- and Y-axes
During transportation, a foam protector prevents the movable parts of the QIAcube from moving
along the X- and Y-axes. Before using the instrument, this protector must be removed.
Carefully press the foam protector downward and gently pull it towards you to remove it
(see picture, right).
Unpacking the QIAcube
I
Identify a suitable place for the QIAcube on the laboratory bench (see Table 1).
