6 PyroMark Q96 Software
The operator’s computer is configured for communication
with the PyroMark Q96 ID Instrument.
6.1 System requirements
6.1.1 Operator’s and office computers
See Section 3.9 for minimum specifications.
6.1.2 Printer
All printers supported by the operator’s computer are
suitable. QIAGEN recommends the use of a laser printer.
6.1.3 Data storage device
A removable hard drive or similar should be used for
backing up the result files. This is required if the computer
used to analyze the data is not connected to a LAN.
6.2 Installing PyroMark Q96 Software
Note : If the computer is connected to a network, network
policy settings may prevent you from completing this
procedure. For more information, contact your system
administrator.
1. Close any programs running on the computer.
2. Insert the PyroMark Q96 ID Application Software 2.5 CD
into the CD drive.
3. In the CD menu, click “Install PyroMark Q96 Software”.
If the CD menu does not appear automatically:

Select “(My) Computer” in the Windows “Start”
menu.

Right-click the CD drive with the software CD and
select “Explore”.

Double-click the file autorun.exe.
4. Follow the instructions that appear in the “Setup Wizard”.
