5.7 Finishing work
5.7.1 After a run is finished
Remove and dispose of the reagent cartridge
1. Open the instrument lid.
2. Open the dispensing unit cover.
3. Remove the reagent cartridge.
4. Close the dispensing unit cover. Ensure that the latch
snaps into its locked position.
Note : If the reagent cartridge is to be reused, clean it
directly after use, as described in Section 7.6.
WARNING Sharp needles
[W7]
Do not touch the sharp needles at the bottom of the
reagent cartridge. Handle the needles with care. Small
particles and fibers may obstruct the needles.
Note : To avoid injury, replace the plastic needle cover
on the reagent cartridge prior to disposal.
Note : Be sure to observe all federal, state, and local
environmental regulations for the disposal of laboratory
waste.
Remove and dispose of the PyroMark Q96 Plate Low
1. Open the process chamber lid.
2. Open the plate-holding frame and remove the PyroMark
Q96 Plate Low from the heating block.
3. Close the plate-holding frame and the process chamber
lid.
Note : Be sure to observe all federal, state, and local
environmental regulations for the disposal of laboratory
waste.
5.7.2 Leaving the instrument on
To ensure stable operating conditions, the PyroMark Q96 ID
should remain on between runs.
