INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL FOR FLAT ROOF SYSTEM Q.FLAT-G6 – Q CELLS
Not all roof surfaces have additional load reserves for the required layer ballast. Especially roofs with gravel or substrate fill are
often not able to absorb additional loads. The ballast trough is utilised to make these roofs usable.

INFO

Preliminary work:
Remove gravel / substrate fill up to the inner edges of the main base profiles
B
in the area between the base
C
and tower
E
. The depth
of the excavation should be 50 mm from the top edge of the fill in order to ensure that the ballast trough
O
7
lies flat on the remaining fill
or the roof surface.
When placing the ballast trough
O
7
directly on the roof covering, make sure that the surface is clean in order to avoid long-term damage
caused by objects lying between the ballast trough
O
7
and the roof covering.
PROCEDURE:
Place the ballast trough
O
7
between the tower
E
and base
C
in the middle of the main base profile
B
. Exact positions of the ballast
troughs
O
7
can be found in the current project report.
Then screw each ballast trough
O
7
to the main base profile
B
in the centre and evenly distributed using the supplied self-drilling screws
(6 pieces).
Observe the maximum torque of 5 Nm!
Place the ballast back into the ballast trough
O
7
according to the specifications in the current project report. Ensure even coverage in
the ballast trough
O
7
.
Ensure minimum cover in the ballast trough according to the project report! The maximum fill height must not exceed 70 mm.
