Compliance with FCC R egulations
This device complies with P ar t 15 of the FCC R ules. Oper ation is subject to the following
two conditions:

this device may not cause har mful inter fer ence, and

this device must accept any inter fer ence r eceived, including
inter fer ence that m ay cause undesir ed oper ation.
NOTE : This equipm ent has been tested and found to com ply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pur suant to P ar t 15 of the FCC R ules. These limits ar e designed to pr ovide
r easonable pr otection against har mful inter fer ence in a r esidential installation. This
equipment gener ates, uses and can r adiate r adio fr equency ener gy and, if not installed and
used in accor dance with the instr uctions, may cause har mful inter fer ence to r adio
communications. However , ther e is no guar antee that inter fer ence will not occur in a
par ticular installation. If this equipment does cause har mful inter fer ence to r adio or
television r eception, which can be deter mined by tur ning the equipment off and on, the
user is encour aged to tr y to cor r ect the inter fer ence by one or mor e of the following
measur es:
- R eor ient or r elocate the r eceiving antenna.
- Incr ease the separ ation between the equipm ent and r eceiver .
- Connect the equipm ent into an outlet on a cir cuit differ ent fr om that to which the

Impor tant Safety Instr uctions
When used in the dir ected manner , this unit has been designed and manufactur ed to ensur e
your per sonal safety. However , impr oper use can r esult in potential electr ical shock or fir e
hazar ds. P lease r ead all safety and oper ating instr uctions car efully befor e installation and
use, and keep these instr uctions handy for futur e r efer ence. Take special note of all
war nings listed in these instr uctions and on the unit.
1. Water and Moistur e
The unit should not be used near water . For exam ple: near a bathtub, washbowl,
kitchen sink, laundr y tub, swimming pool or in a set basem ent.
2. Ventilation
The unit should be situated so that its location or position does not inter fer e with its
pr oper ventilation. For example, it should not be situated on a bed, sofa, r ug or sim ilar
sur face that m ay block the ventilation openings. The ventilation should not be im peded
by cover ing the ventilation openings with items, such as newspaper s, table- cloths,
cur tains, etc. Also, it should not be placed in a built- in installation, such as a bookcase
or cabinet, which may impede the flow of air thr ough the ventilation openings.

The unit should be situated away fr om heat sour ces such as r adiator s, heat r egister s,
stoves or other appliances (including amplifier s) that pr oduce heat.
No naked flam e sour ces, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the appar atus.

The unit should be connected to a power supply only of the type descr ibed in the
oper ating instr uctions or as m ar ked on the appliance.
Wher e the AC/DC Adaptor is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall
r emain r eadily oper able.

P ower supply cor ds should be r outed so that they ar e not likely to be walked on or
pinched by items placed upon or against them. It is always best to have a clear ar ea
fr om wher e the cor d exits the unit to wher e it is plugged into an AC outlet.
6. Cleaning
The unit should be cleaned only as r ecommended. See the section "Car e and
Maintenance" of this manual for cleaning instr uctions.
7. Object and L iquid Entr y
Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into any
openings or vents located on the pr oduct. It shall not be exposed to dr ipping or splashing
and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the appar atus.
8. Attachments
Do not use attachments not r ecommended by the pr oduct m anufactur er .
9. L ightning and P ower Sur ge P r otection
Unplug the unit fr om the wall outlet and disconnect the per iods of tim e. This will
pr event damage to the pr oduct due to lightning and power - line sur ges.
10. Over loading
Do not over load wall outlets, extension cor ds, or integr al convenience r eceptacles as
this can r esult in a r isk of fir e of electr ic shock.
11. Dam age R equir ing Ser vice
This unit should be ser viced by qualified ser vice per sonnel when:
A. The power supply cor d or plug has been damaged.
B. Objects have fallen into or liquid has been spilled into the enclosur e.
C. The unit has been exposed to r ain.
D. The unit has been dr opped or the enclosur e damaged.
E. The unit exhibits a mar ked change in per for mance or does not oper ate nor mally.
12. P er iods of Nonuse
If the unit is to be left unused for an extended per iod of time, such as a month or longer ,
the power cor d should be unplugged fr om the unit to pr event damage or cor r osion.
13. Ser vicing
The user should not attempt to ser vice the unit beyond those methods descr ibed in the
user 's oper ating instr uctions. Ser vice m ethods not cover ed in the oper ating
instr uctions should be r efer r ed to qualified ser vice per sonnel.
