To cancel an alarm
DAB/FM
Press any button except Volume to cancel the alarm and perform the button’s normal
function.
Tone
Press Select or Power to cancel the alarm.
Using a ChargePAK
TM
/batteries
As an alternative to mains power you can use six size ‘C’ alkaline or rechargeable
batteries or use the PURE ChargePAK™ C6x rechargeable battery pack. When
charge is low the battery icon flashes.
Note
Always disconnect the radio from mains power supply
before fitting or removing a ChargePAK or batteries, your settings will be retained.
Using a ChargePAK
ChargePAK is a rechargeable battery pack which plugs into the socket in your radio’s battery
compartment. Whenever your radio is connected to a mains supply the ChargePAK will be
charging. When charging a ChargePAK the battery icon will be animated and when fully
charged the icon disappears. A complete charge should take around 10 hours in standby.

Battery safety
- Do not mix battery types or sizes
- Do not mix old and new batteries
- Remove used batteries as soon as possible to prevent leakage
- Dispose of old batteries carefully
- Orientate batteries as shown in the battery compartment
Changing your radio setup
The following options are available in DAB, FM or both.
Backlight
Choose whether the screen backlight is on, off, or turns on when a button is pressed, both
when the unit is on (Active) and in Standby.
Audio settings
EQ setting
Apply one of five equalisation presets to the received audio.
FM stereo mode
Choose from Stereo or Mono - mono may improve reception of weak signals.
DRC value
DRC (Dynamic Range Control) value makes the quieter sounds in a DAB broadcast easier to
hear at low volume or in a noisy environment.
