1. Universal tip: Multi-purpose tip that works at various angles for creating
lines of varying widths.
2. Dot tip: Use to make dots of various sizes and depths. Make light
surface touches for fine dots. Hold the tip on the surface for longer
periods of time to create deeper spots or holes.
3. Groove tip: Use to burn grooves at various depths. Move more slowly
across your work to make deeper grooves. Also for small and intricate
dots, circles, and cursive writing.
4. Calligraphy tip: Mimics the shape of a calligraphy pen. Do not allow the
iron to rotate in your hand as you trace calligraphy letters.
5. Shading tip: Tapered for use in several positions to create light or dark
shading. Can also be used for transferring patterns:
a. Print or make a copy of your pattern.
b. Place the copy face down on your project surface.
c. Attach shading tip and turn burner on low. Allow the tip to heat to
working temperature.
d. Slowly rub the pattern transfer tip on the back of the pattern in a
circular motion to transfer the printed pattern to your project surface.
e. You can now burn your pattern into your project surface.
6. Branding tips: Includes 10 different patterns for variety of design work.
Apply these tips vertically on your project surface in a stamping motion,
moving the tip straight up and down, repeating as desired.
7. Stencil cutting tip: Use to cut craft pattern stencils in plastic stencil
materials.
8. Stripes tip: Apply and pull along working area to create stripes. Vary the
depth and/or number of lines by adjusting the angle when applying.
9. Knife tip: Use with the chuck, like a standard hobby knife. Insert the
blade into the chuck then insert the threaded chuck onto the wood
burner. Use to cut foam, rope, or other soft rigid materials.
10. Soldering iron tip (not shown): Use this tip to operate your wood
burner as a standard soldering iron. Can also be used as a dot tip.
11. Flow tip (not shown): Use this rounded end tip to burn curves,
dots, and fine details. Works well for cursive writing and dot shading
techniques.
NOTE: Keep tips clean for lasting performance. Carbon build up may occur
over time. Use a fine grit sandpaper or wire brush to clean tips as needed.
