Instruction Manual

9.3 PT113PN - Profinet

The PT113PN instruments are state-of-the-art strain gage load cell signal digitisers with a Profinet
interface. This instrument is used for any type of weighing processes and force measurement including

tank and silo weighing, dynamic weighing, check weighing, filling, tension /compression force
measurement etc.

A sample GSDML file is available supplied together with the instrument to aid in setup.

For connections refer to 4.2.1 and the table below. For front panel annunciator explanation refer to
5.1.2.4 and 5.1.2.1.

Profibus-DP interface

This interface uses Profibus-DPV1

Usage

Interfacing with a PC or PLC

Data formats

Profinet

Baud rate

The Ethernet interface operates at 100Mbit, full

duplex, as required by Profinet.

Warning:

Connect the shield to the reference ground or shield pin of the power connector.

Warning:

Disconnect AzComT PC software after configuration for Profinet interfacing to function

correctly.

9.3.1.1 Programming and Calibration

PT113PB instruments are programmed and calibrated with AzComT. Analogue digitiser parameter

values are very important for better weighing performance. Please refer to 6.3.1.

9.3.1.2 Profinet Setup

Profinet set up is performed with AzComT software as described in section 6.3.4.3.

Select Gateway tab after connecting AzComT to the instrument.
Refer to the previous page (9.2.1.3) under Profibus for PLC configuration.
