PROGRAMMING
Host commands are accessed via the host port of the Series 9000E Bar
Code Scanner/Decoder . A communications package such as Telix,
Procomm, SSDL or LCDOS can be used.
Type CTRL-R and the following prompt will appear ">:"
At this point the user has entered the Host Commands mode.
All Host Commands must be capitalized
. Other text may be
upper or lower case.
END or EXIT will exit the Host Commands mode.
Control characters can be entered into text fields by bracketing the
command. Example: HSOM <STX> ENTER
The characters entered on the host port will not be echoed to the
terminal screen.
Host Command Prompt is defaulted as <CR><LF>>: . This prompt is
configurable by entering HCP plus the text. Example: HCP <STX>.
