Attach Pull-Up Bar To Uprights
1.
Lay uprights on the ground, with the numbers facing upward (with space between for the pull-up bar).
2.
Lay the pull-up bar (#4) flat on the ground between the tops of the uprights as shown below. The top
of the uprights will not have a plastic plug.
3.
Using a 4 1/2” hex head bolt (#14), two 5/8” washers (#11), and one 5/8” Nyloc nut (#12) connect the
bottom hole of the pull-up bar to the third hole down from the top of the upright. Hand tighten then
repeat with the next upright.
4.
Attach the top of the pull-up bar to the upright using a 5” hex head bolt (#13), two 5/8” washers (#11),
and one 5/8” Nyloc nut (#12). Hand tighten and repeat with the other upright.
5.
Leave the top bolts loose, but tighten bolts in the bottom holes using a 15/16” open ended wrench
and socket. The top bolts will need to be removed shortly when you attach the rack to the linkage
arms.
6.
Team lift the rack into place (approximately 20” away from the wall), in order to begin attaching
linkage arms.
