Multi-Router Support for SIP Trunks

Voice over IP (VoIP)

Additional subnets can also be set up on the LAN 2 port of the communi-
cations system.
Example 1: Separate Internet connections for SIP trunks
You want to use separate Internet connections for telephony via SIP trunks.
The bandwidth required for VoIP/SIP telephony does
not
have a negative
impact on the bandwidth available for data (e.g. simultaneous Internet
downloads).
Example 1: Separate Internet connections for SIP trunks
In example 1, additional Internet routers (DSL modems: DSL 2 and DSL 3) are
connected to the company network. VoIP/SIP traffic between the
communications system and the SIP providers (A and B) is directed via these
routers. You must set up IP address ranges separate from the company
network on the additional Internet routers. Similarly, in addition to the default
subnet, set up two further subnets in the communications system with the
corresponding gateways.
