Amplifier/Receiver

This connection lets you play CDs without turning on the TV or provides stereo audio if your TV is
not stereo.

Cautions:  

Make sure the 

DIGITAL OPTICAL

connectors on the player and amplifier/receiver are compatible.

Keep the protective dust cap plugged into the 

OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT

connector whenever it is not in use.

Be sure to fully insert the optical fiber cable plugs all the way into the

DIGITAL OPTICAL

connectors.

Be careful not to fold or crimp the optical fiber cable.  When coiling an optical fiber cable, make sure the

diameter of the coil is at least six inches or larger.
Protect the optical fiber cable’s plugs from scratches and dust.

Connect the player to the amplifier/receiver as shown.

This connection requires additional cables not provided.*

Optional:

To get the full benefit of the player’s superior digital sound

reproduction, attach the 

OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT

terminal to a compatible

OPTICAL DIGITAL IN 

terminal on a compatible amplifier/receiver with an

optional optical fiber cable.*

Remove the protective cap from the 

DIGITAL OUT OPTICAL

terminal and insert

the optical fiber cable’s plug.
