CHAPTER 6 – WINDOWS MEMORY DIAGNOSTIC
Windows Memory Diagnostic
will scan your memory module (RAM) for faults. If an error is found the diagnostics
tool will attempt to determine which particular memory module in your computer is causing these errors. If bad
memory is found then you will need to replace the memory module.

Select
Windows Memory Diagnostic
from
System Recovery Option
menu.
2.
Choose 1
st
option from
Windows Memory Diagnostic
menu -
Restart now and check for problems
(recommended)
, whereby the computer will restart and perform memory checking right away.
3.
Choose 2
nd
option from
Windows Memory Diagnostic
menu -
Check for problems the next time I start my
computer
, whereby computer will resume and the memory checking will only perform at the next time
computer startup, and a schedule is recorded with prompted message.
