DESCRIPTION – CONFIGURATION
Oil management
Hermetic rotary compressors:
Standard version: Oil separator, with coalescent cartridge (OUTDOOR), or hermetic (INDOOR)
on the MT compressors’ discharge.
Solenoid valve on the oil separator outlet, for oil reintegration on the main suction line.
Semi-hermetic compressors
Standard: Oil separator, with coalescent cartridge (OUTDOOR), or hermetic (INDOOR) on the MT
compressors’ discharge. No oil separator on the discharge of LT booster compressors.
Solenoid valve on the oil separator outlet, driven by the oil level sensor.
Detection of low oil level through the electronic oil controller on the LT compressors
Detection of low oil level through the electronic oil controller on the MT compressors
Oil supplied by opening of the solenoid valve integrated in the oil controller.
Oil receiver with degazing line through the liquid receiver safety valves.
Passive oil management version: Equalization oil line between the MT compressors. All isolating
valves must be open while the unit is running.
Transcritical / subcritical system
CO2 high pressure expansion (on the gascooler outlet) is made with a step by step HP valve
driven by the controller.
During subcritical operation, the liquid is stored into the liquid receiver.
The pressure inside the receiver is maintained to a predefined value using a step by step MT valve.
The subcooled liquid is then going through the liquid line (drier + sight glass + valves) to supply
the different MT and LT consumers.
The flash gaz (after the MP expansion valve) is evacuated by one medium pressure valve down to
the MT suction after going through ha plate heat exchanger.
The transition between subcritical and transcritical modes is managed by the controller according
to the pressure measured before the HP valve and the gascooler outlet temperature measured by a
temperature sensor (to be mounted on site for INDOOR versions).
The said temperature sensor must be securely fixed on the pipe and thermally insulated from
ambient air.
The said temperature sensor must be placed no more than 1m from the gascooler outlet.
AKVH injection valve
(SH Booster version only)
Depending on the discharge temperature of the MT compressors, the AKVH valve injects liquid on
the MT suction line in order to reduce the superheat on the suction of the MT compressors.
