Both abnormal operations may result in the activation of the current limiter circuit
or the thermal motor overheat protection, which terminates the power to the shredder.
A minor paper jam will terminate the power to the motor temporarily.
The product can be reset immediately by removing the jam whereas a major paper jam
could cause the thermal motor overheat protection to terminate AC power to the motor.
Never allow the shredder to remain in a jammed condition with the AC power turned on.
In case of a paper jam:
1. Select the
OFF
position.
2. Select the
REV
position and then remove any excess paper from the machine. Be
careful not to place your
fi
ngers near the feed opening or else serious harm could
result.
3. Make sure that all of the excess paper has been removed from the feed opening.
It may be necessary to alternate between the
OFF
and
REV
position to clear the
blockage.
4. Select the
AUTO
position. You are now ready to resume normal shredding.
