BMR
Your basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the estimated amount
of energy measured in calories that is used by your body
at rest to maintain normal functioning of the organism. This
continuous work consumes 60-70% of calories, and includes
heartbeat, breathing and body temperature maintenance.
Numerous factors, including age, weight, height, sex, diet
and lifestyle have an impact on the BMR index.
