Important! It must be ensured that the battery cover is properly tightened and watertight.
With repeated charging and discharging cycles, lead and NiMh battery packs become less efficient (memory effect).
This effect is much less pronounced, but still present in small mass in the Li-ion batteries used.
This effect is much less pronounced with the Li-ion batteries used, but is still present to a small extent. Batteries can
age prematurely as a result of very short and frequent charging processes and other operational influences.
As consumable and wearing parts, the batteries are therefore subject to a shortened warranty of 6 months.
If you find that the battery seems less efficient, the battery needs to be fully recharged.
To do this, please leave the device in the sun for at least 8 hours to allow the battery to be fully charged or to use a
suitable external charger. We recommend repeating this process from time to time to extend the life of the battery.
If after recharging the batteries still do not meet expectations, you should replace the batteries.
NOTE: The battery is supplied charged. If the state of charge, contrary to expectations, not be suffi
-
cient to charge the batteries for at least 8 hours to allow sufficient charging of the battery (the pump
must be connected to avoid damage to the battery due to overcharging).
6. WARNINGS ON BATTERY
Lithium Ion cells and battery may get hot, explode or ignite and cause serious injury if they are
exposed to abusive conditions, Be sure to follow the safety warnings listed below:
l
When inserting the batteries, make sure that the polarity is correct.
l
Avoid that the positive and / or negative connections and / or the poles of the batteries come into contact with each
other or with metal. This can lead to a short circuit.
l
Do not disassemble or modify the battery. The battery contains safety and protection devices which may cause the
battery to generate heat, explode or ignite if damaged
l
Do not place the battery in or near fire, on stoves or other high temperature locations. Do not place the battery in
direct sunlight or use/store the battery inside cars during hot weather. Doing so may cause the battery to generate
heat, explode or ignite
l
It is not advised for children to handle the battery
l
When the battery is worn out, wrap the terminals with adhesive tape or similar materials before disposal
l
Immediately discontinue use of the battery, if there is an unusual smell, a change of color or shape, or if it appears
abnormal in any other way
l
Do not place the battery in microwave ovens, high pressure containers or on cookware facilities
l
In the event of the battery is leaking and fluid gets into your eye, do not rub the eye, rinse well with water and
immediately seek medical advice. If left untreated, the battery fluid could cause serious injury to the eye
