Pull back on the handle during cut.
Too much pressure will shorten wheel life.
Never score twice.
When cutting plastic, it skips and/or chatters.
Causes:
Scoring too fast
Slow down the stroke speed
Scoring tool broken
Rotate cutter if you have not done so previously
Too much pressure
Reduce pressure slightly on handle
Not using media clamp
Use media clamp
Important Tip
To achieve the maximum utilization from your carbide glass cutting wheels, the wheels
must be kept well oiled. WD-40 is a good lubricant for this purpose. Before each use
one should squirt the active wheel with a “shot” of oil. We recommend you use a small
plastic container with a well oil-soaked cloth in the plastic container. When the tool is
not in use, place the tool in the container with the wheels down against the cloth. This
will ensure the maximum life and best results from your carbide glass cutting wheels.
