Use
Place the engine on its feet (10) on a at,
stable surface.
Connect a heavy-duty cable between the
generator’s earth terminal (9) and an external
earth connection.
Connect the equipment to be supplied with
power to the power outlets (8), but do not
turn the equipment on.
Start the engine as described above and
allow it to idle for approx. 3 minutes.
Check the engine runs smoothly and that
there are no abnormal sounds or vibrations.
Stop the engine and have it checked by an
authorised workshop if anything abnormal
occurs.
Switch on the connected devices one at a
time, never simultaneously. Start the device
that uses most power rst.
Never use oodlights with other types of
electrical equipment.
If a device is defective, runs too slowly or
suddenly stops when connected to the
generator, switch it off immediately. Check
the connected device for defects.
Note! Stay within the rated power limit of the
generator as far as possible.
If your power requirements are limited,
switch on the ECO function using the ECO
button (4). The engine will run at a lower
speed, thus reducing the fuel consumption.
Overload protection
If the generator is overloaded, a built-in
overload protection will automatically switch
the power outlets off and the overload
warning light (6) will ash.
If the engine stops, disconnect the
connected equipment and start the engine
again to reset the overload protection.
Oil level protection
If the oil level in the generator falls below a
certain level, the low oil level warning light
(7) will come on. Shortly after a built-in oil
level protection will automatically switch the
engine off .
This is a security measure to protect the
generator. You must always check the oil
level before each use!
Cleaning and maintenance
Always switch off the engine and allow the
generator to cool before undertaking any
maintenance.
Clean by wiping all surfaces with a damp
cloth.
Regularly lubricate all moving parts with
lubricating oil and check for rust formation.
Remove the side panel (14) by unscrewing
the screws using the screwdriver (19) to get
access to the engine, so you can perform the
following maintenance tasks.
Checking the engine oil level
Always check the engine oil level before use.
Place the generator on a at surface.
Unscrew the oil plug and wipe the dipstick.
Fully screw the oil plug to the bottom and
then unscrew it again. Check that the oil level
is between the Min and Max marks on the
dipstick.
If the oil level is too low, re ll with clean fresh
engine oil suitable for garden machinery.
Changing engine oil
Change the engine oil after the rst month or
20 hours of operation, and then after every
50 hours of operation.
