OPERATION
1. Grip the sander and make sure the sanding belt is not touching any
surface before you turn on the tool. Gently press the throttle
lever (#11) to allow the sanding belt to rotate to its maximum speed.
2. Rotate the regulator knob (#8) clockwise to increase the speed
and counterclockwise to decrease.
3. Place the rotating sanding belt on the workpiece, being careful not
to strike the workpiece with the sides of the tension bar (#34).
Move the sander back and forth to remove material.
NOTICE! Keep a light pressure on the sander when in use. Do not
apply heavy pressure as damage to the work surface may result.
3. When finished using the sander, release pressure on the throttle
lever. Turn off the air compressor. Squeeze the throttle lever again
to release any remaining compressed air in the sander. Then
disconnect the air hose from the tool.
PRESSURE DROP
Apply the air consumption and pressure rate numbers to the tool’s air
inlet, not the compressor’s outlet. Calculate the pressure drop for your
air supply set-up and increase the compressor outlet pressure to
compensate. Make sure you do not exceed the maximum pressure for
any part of your air supply system.
Installing a pressure gauge at the tool inlet is the best way to measure
the air pressure and adjust the compressor’s output.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient,
easier to control and will have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool fittings, alignment, hoses and power supply cord
periodically. Have damaged or worn components repaired or replaced
by an authorized technician. Only use identical replacement parts
when servicing.
3. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
4. Only use accessories intended for use with this tool.
5. Keep the tool handles clean, dry and free from oil/grease at
all times.
