SAFESTOP VEHICLE ANTI-THEFT
B. Locate a solid spot on the chassis to ground the module, and attach the BLK wire on the
Safestop unit to this point. It is not recommended that this wire share a ground with any other
component.
C. Locate the Brakelight output wire (This shows +12V with the key in the On/Run position in
combination with the brake pedal being depressed). Do NOT cut this wire. Instead, strip away
a portion of the plastic insulation, exposing the copper wire, and attach/solder the GRN/WHT
wire from the Safestop unit. Cover with an insulator to prevent shorting.
D. The BRN wire is a +12V source that only su12V when the key is in the ignition, in
the on position. This can be used to power gun locks or other accessories that only need
power when the key is in the ignition.
IMPORTANT Cover ends and secure all unused wires to the harness!
Drill a ¾” hole for the Safestop switch (provided).
We recommend the spot for this switch to be in
plain view
in a cosmetically friendly surface.
Attach switch harness ( provided ) and test unit.
NOTE: The wires must be placed back in the same locations that they were removed from.
i.e. Pink = Pin #1, Purple = Pin #2, Orange = Pin #3 on switch.
After test verification it is recommended that the Safestop module is mounted securely and
tightly to a solid location in or around the steering column.
